Divisions & Specialized Units

The patrol division is responsible for responding to all calls for service within the community.

The Detective Bureau provides comprehensive investigation services for the citizens of Warren Township.

The Traffic Bureau is responsible for enforcing motor vehicle laws, responding to motor vehicle crashes, and other vehicle related issues.

The Records Bureau is responsible for providing copies of police reports, issuing temporary handicapped placards, and providing discovery for court.

The Communications Division answers all emergency and non-emergency calls for Warren Township.

The K-9 division is comprised of one K-9 and a handler to assist officers with apprehending suspects, drug interdiction, and searches.

The School Resource Officer is posted at Watchung Hills Regional High School to maintain a safe, secure, and orderly learning environment for students, parents, and teachers while bridging the gap between law enforcement and students.

The purpose of the Warren Twp. Police Bicycle Patrol program is to enhance community relationships and to provide “specialized patrols” in areas where bike patrols may have an impact.

Humane Law Enforcement Officers will assist with investigations, and act as officers for the detection, apprehension and arrest of offenders in all matters of animal cruelty.
